Birth of a Blog
Lately there has been a lot of learning at my house. Yes, my husband has decided to dive into the world of social media. He’s been watching me be social online now for at least 12 years. I started on RE/MAX MainStreet back in the mid-1990’s and have continued off and on for all this time.
Over the years I’ve become experienced in online endeavors from building websites in html to transferring them to WordPress blogs. Along the way I’ve also mastered a few things that have become second nature to me. Such a normal part of my life social networking has become, I hardly think about it anymore.
That brings me back to my hubby and watching his struggles to get online, get noticed, streamline the work (blogging)load, and remember how to do it all again. Whew!
Watching and helping him brings me back to the first time I tried to blog. No one was there to help me, explain to me or inform me of the importance of doing what I was trying to do. I waddled through it learning as I went.
Hubby is a good writer, check him out here and here. Read a few posts from both of his blogs and you will agree, writing is not an issue for him.
His issues are:
- Keyboarding
- Adding photos
- Remembering his passwords
- Getting noticed
- Driving traffic
- Understanding exactly why we blog
- Nomenclature of social media
- etc.
Our long discussions revealed to me I have a few lessons to share. Thus this blog has been born.
Hang around, read, ask questions and question my wisdom. I don’t profess to know it all, not even close. What I do know, I share and I share in hopes to save you a few bumps and bruises. Maybe you will share back at me and if you do, that is a good thing.
Shall we blog?
